Pastor Eduardo Layug is the joint founder and senior pastor of In Jesus Name Church, alongside his wife Elsa. He is one of the leading Christian communicators of his time, and highly sought after, for his powerfully anointed preaching and leadership gifts.
Born on San fernando, Kutud, Pampanga later grew up in Almacen, Hermosa, Bataan, Pastor Eduardo Layug also known as "Pastor Eddie" A.K.A "Eddieng Bato" or "Bato" grew up not knowing God in his life and experience the pleasure of the world. Pastor Eddie was a chain smoker, drug addict, beer house man and a life that you can call to be a miserable one. But God moves in mysterious ways and always have a plan for his life not expecting his calling, God called him to be a Pastor. Experiencing the pleasure of the world in his youth is now his living testimony that God uses to preach the good news of His word through Pastor Eddie's old life, changed and renewed by God's power and grace that Salvation is for everyone and it is given freely and a gift from God.
Pastora Elsa Layug has been standing alongside her husband, Eduardo Layug, since the ministry’s inception, helping to champion the mandate of In Jesus Name Church and implement the vision.
As a teenager, her personal journey began when she suffered a family breakdown followed by radical transformation when she was introduced to a personal relationship with Jesus. Elsa is now relentlessly committed to leading others into personal encounters with God that will similarly change the course of their lives forever. Her testimony of salvation, healing and responding to the call of God is truly inspiring, powerful and full of hope and redemption. She models a life of joy and fun that can only be attributed to the power of God’s transforming love.
Elsa is committed to the process of discipleship and loves to invest in young people, helping them to build their lives on the foundation of regular encounters with God and using the weapons of praise, worship and prayer to overcome challenges and obstacles. She is a devoted mother to Eliezer and Elaijohn, both of whom serve the Lord alongside their parents at In Jesus Name Church Orani, Bataan, Philippines.
